Blinkdrop was born out of a simple frustration: existing smart home systems were either too expensive, too complex, or simply not designed with Indian homes in mind. Our founder, an engineer who'd retrofitted his own apartment with smart switches, realized he could do this for everyone.
In 2024, we set out to build a smart home ecosystem that fits the reality of Indian electrical infrastructure — existing switchboards, variable power supply, diverse home layouts — without demanding any rewiring or professional setup. The result is Blinkdrop.
