Welcome to Blinkdrop Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Blinkdrop," "we," "our," or "us"). By purchasing our hardware products, accessing our web platform, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Blinkdrop's products and services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services immediately.
2. Products, Hardware & Warranty
Blinkdrop hardware products, including but not limited to the Blinkdrop Hub, Smart Switch Modules, Fan Controllers, Energy Monitors, and Wireless Sensors, are sold subject to the following conditions:
- All hardware is covered by a 2-year comprehensive warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of installation.
- All installations include 1 year of complimentary technician support — covering on-site visits, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement at no additional cost.
- The warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, unauthorized modifications, or damage caused by improper use or electrical surges beyond standard operating conditions.
- Products must be installed by a Blinkdrop-certified technician. Self-installation voids the warranty unless pre-approved in writing.
- All sales are final unless the product is received damaged or defective. Replacement requests must be initiated within 7 days of installation.
3. Service Booking & Payment Policy
Blinkdrop operates on a professional installation model. All orders are booked through our Smart Builder platform and processed as follows:
- Customers configure their desired smart home setup using the Smart Builder tool and submit a booking request.
- A Blinkdrop-certified technician is assigned to the order and dispatched to the customer's provided address.
- 100% online payment is required upon technician arrival. Installation and hardware setup will commence only after successful payment confirmation.
- No advance payment or deposit is required at the time of booking.
- Blinkdrop reserves the right to cancel bookings in areas outside our serviceable coverage, in which case the customer will be notified promptly.
4. Software & Platform License
Blinkdrop grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use our web platform and companion application solely for your personal, non-commercial use of our smart home services. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our software.
- Use our platform for commercial purposes without a written license agreement.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of our systems.
- Resell or redistribute any part of our software platform.
5. User Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@blinkdrop.in if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. Blinkdrop uses military-grade encryption and advanced session management to protect your account. Sessions may be invalidated at any time for security purposes.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our cloud services. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and shall not be liable for temporary outages due to maintenance, infrastructure updates, or events beyond our control. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
7. Third-Party Integrations
Blinkdrop supports integration with Google Home via Google's Smart Home platform. Use of this integration is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. Blinkdrop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google LLC.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Blinkdrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of our products or services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
